WEBSITE TERMS

Clear starting points,
confirmed by survey.

These terms apply to this website and its enquiry tools. A separate written quotation and installation agreement will govern any work you order.

Required before accepting orders: the owner must confirm the final payment schedule, cancellation process, installation responsibilities, warranty and complaints procedure. A solicitor should review the completed customer agreement.

About this website

The Air Con Shop is operated by Hadley Air Ltd. Our trading and contact address is Hunts Farm, Broadstreet Common, Aldershot Road, Guildford, Surrey, GU3 3HX. You can contact us at hadleyair@me.com or 07810 184539. The website is for customers considering air-conditioning equipment, installation and maintenance in Surrey.

Estimates and recommendations

Capacity calculations, catalogue matches, prices and finance figures are preliminary illustrations. They are not a binding quotation, engineering design, credit offer or guarantee that a product is suitable or available. A site survey may change the recommended capacity, equipment, installation method, electrical or building work and price.

Products and prices

Images may represent a product family or configuration. Specifications, availability and manufacturer pricing can change. The written quotation will identify what is included, the total price including applicable taxes, any known additional costs, payment schedule, delivery or installation arrangements and expected timescale. If website information conflicts with an accepted written quotation, the written quotation takes priority, but it cannot remove statutory rights.

Enquiries and contracts

Submitting a form does not create a contract. A contract begins only when the customer and Hadley Air accept a written quotation or agreement using the process stated in that document. Before the customer is bound, that agreement must provide the legally required trader, product or service, price, payment, performance, complaint and cancellation information in a durable form such as email or paper.

Cancellation and work requested early

Consumers will normally have a 14-day cancellation period for contracts made online, by telephone or away from business premises, subject to the statutory rules and exceptions. The final agreement must explain when the period starts and provide the required cancellation instructions and model form. If you expressly ask for installation or another service to start during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work properly completed before cancellation. The right can be lost after the service is fully performed only where the legal requirements, including the necessary express request and acknowledgement, have been met. Bespoke goods and urgent repairs can be subject to different rules, so no exemption will be assumed unless it lawfully applies to the particular contract.

Installation responsibilities

The written quotation will state site-access, customer-preparation, electrical, drainage, planning or landlord-consent requirements and how unexpected conditions are handled. Customers should disclose relevant property restrictions and obtain permissions allocated to them in the quotation. Hadley Air will perform contracted services with reasonable care and skill and within the agreed time, or otherwise within a reasonable time.

Financing information

The financing page contains comparison illustrations only. Hadley Air does not currently present them as available credit products, accept finance applications or perform credit searches. No finance should be advertised or arranged until an authorised provider and Hadley Air's correct regulatory status are confirmed. If finance is introduced later, separate lender terms will apply; communications must identify the broker and lender, be clear, fair and not misleading, and state that credit is subject to status and affordability where required.

Faults, complaints and legal rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Goods must meet the standards required by consumer law, and services must be performed with reasonable care and skill. If you have a problem, contact hadleyair@me.com or 07810 184539. The final customer agreement must set out the complaints process, warranty terms and applicable remedies without suggesting that a manufacturer warranty replaces statutory rights.

Acceptable use and availability

Do not misuse the forms, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious material or interfere with the site. We may update, suspend or withdraw website features and do not promise uninterrupted availability.

Liability

Nothing excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to those protections, website estimates and general guidance should not be treated as a substitute for a site survey, professional specification or accepted written quotation.
